Lake WaterColors

I made this sketchbook page when I went on my first solo camping trip! I went to a lake about 2 hours from my house and got to experience true solitude for the first time. It was a truly beautiful weekend, and I’m very glad I brought some art supplies with me. I brought an old watercolor palette, and decided to use that water from the lake to paint in my sketchbook. I used some chalk and oil pastels on the page as well once the paint dried. Using the water from the lake was a way for me to commemorate my first solo camping trip.
